Glamorous vampires have terrified and enthralled mortals for centuries. With their cunning wit and timeless fashion, they have lured us in to drain us of our life giving blood. Perhaps, this autumn, they will be the ones looking flushed when your outfit raises the stakes.
If the full moon is your disco ball, be not afraid. The only thing frightening about this ensemble is the gold lame clashing with faux fur, but if you tease your hair with just the right amount of Aquanet you might just be invited to join a wolf pack…as something other than their dinner.
Haunted houses and rattling chains don’t give you a fright, but the fact that the ghosts are always hiding is down right disturbing. In ballet slippers and gauzy fabrics, you could dance for the dead. Who knows? The spirits may come out to play, just don’t follow them toward the light.
Brains, brains, brains…Let’s face it, zombies aren’t the brightest pumpkins in the pumpkin patch. Maybe that’s why they’re always in search of brains. When the zombie revolution occurs, you’ll be ready and this outfit just might keep your brain where it belongs, nestled in your skull, while you make your way through throngs of the living dead. Can anyone say zombie mosh pit?

I walked into the dorm last week and my roommates had covered my desk in flower barrettes and fake pearls. They stacked all my plastic babies and made them crawl and wrestle. V. cute. I love little surprises. When he left for the airport shuttle Sunday morning, Ewan left a pink tulle flower and a love letter on my desk. I didn't find it til' I woke up that morning. So so lovely.
The lover boy. We had a picnic in the flower gardens and kissed among roses, daffodils, hydrangeas and statues of dancing girls. We chased the geese in front of the big fountain by the man made river, ate vegan pot pie at Eden Valley, took pictures under bridges, and saw way too many movies. We fell asleep in each other's arms and we helped Schuyler close down Café Nermann. I stole the mop from her and started dancing like I was in that one scene from Pulp Fiction. I made a strawberry roma soda. He helped me with my homework. We went to Westport and thought about Christmas gifts for our parents. We talked about politics and socialism and pathetic Sarah Palin. And we talked about communism with broken-armed Ben. We cuddled. He held me in his arms. I was sick most of the weekend but he didn't care. He didn't mind that my eyes were runny and my nose was puffy. When he left at 8 am that morning and I watched him board the shuttle for the airport& I nearly cried. He needs to move here soon. Please please please.
I've been writing my novel. I use polyvore to invent characters. To hell with the fashion, it is so easy and lovely to create characters with polyvore. You can really visualize them when you know what shoes they'd wear, what scarves wind around their necks. Their favorite dresses. What decorative images really describe their aura. It is especially helpful when your two main characters are leaving town and you have to describe the backpacks full of belongings that they carry along. A green alligator suitcase covered in painted roses, two thrift store dresses from the 1970s, a pair of skinny jeans ripped down the legs, five thrift store t-shirts advertising old horror films, a plaid button up, two granny apple green tank tops and a pair of scuffed black Converse sneakers. etc. etc.
I'm watching 28 Days Later and talking with the roommates + Gaby. We're brainstorming Halloween costume ideas. So far we have Daria, Jane and Quinn with Gaby not participating (I'd be Jane) OR "the party", "the party people", "the party joy" and "the party cleanup" (I'd be the cleanup, complete with ripped streamers and a fake black eye.) Next week we're going to the Los Lobos concert. Schuyler knows the band and got us tickets for free. I plan on wearing my rose dress and tango dancing.
I need a few good penpals. Send me a letter and I'll write you back and send you envelopes full of glitter confetti and little drawings. If you don't send the first letter, I'll honestly forget, however. I'm hopelessly forgetful. Leave a comment if you're in for it.

New York City glows in my mind

New York is on the other side of the country, but I can see the pricks of light bleeding out of nighttime apartments fifteen stories off the ground if I close my eyes hard enough. The models, beautiful and poised, still click their heels past Bryant Park, hailing taxis with their slender hands. The bums still sleep in the bus stop booths, slumped heads leaving greasy smears on the plastic wall. Wall Street panics, hipsters move their bodies to electronic music, children run laughing through park fountains in the ghetto. Thousands of waitresses sigh in unison, aching feet and pockets full of singles.
New York is 4,000 miles away, churning and steaming and littered with fallen brown leaves. In the land of endless summer I can hear fighting cocks crowing in the packed dirt backyards of Panorama City and the television preaching materialism in the next room. I don't want to live anywhere people don't have to live on top of each other, I get lonely otherwise. I get lonely in the City Of Angels sometimes, so I sit outside and smoke cigarettes and put ice in my green tea and listen to boys who might be men playing their songs, tapping my feet to their bass lines and cooing alongside so soft you'll never hear it. I try to remain peaceful, I try not to drink too much wine. I think about who I want to be now, the opportunity for a new transformation at my fingertips. I want to be bolder, more poetic, more informed, older and stronger. My middle name will be Dianne.

But I don't do any of that.
I just brush my fingertips back on yours.
and make out with you at the back of parks.
and its unfair on you.
Because I fucking despise you and like you all at the same time.
You're everything I've been craving. And you're sweet. and and...
You're really fucking good at holding hands.
Don't you see?! I'm not supposed to feel! I'm not supposed to get attached!
But you just make me feel so good.
I really fucking hate it.

On the weekends, I'm the happiest girl in the world. I'm surrounded by friends who I can endlessly joke around with. I can fully be myself around everyone. I'm with the most amazing boy in the world, waking up next to him, cuddling, kissing, etc. Everything on the weekend is perfect.
Then the week comes. I have no friends. I have no one to talk to and nothing to do. I get so lonely since it's a complete 180 from the weekend. Each weekday ends and I feel like I have accomplished nothing. I feel like I'm on autopilot, merely enduring each day. I feel like a completely different person--to myself and also in relation to everyone else.
I don't know how I am going to be able to get through two more months (at the very least) of this. I might just drive myself crazy at some point.

Also, Spore is... kinda fun, but frustrating now and then. But fun. And slightly addictive. I'm not sure if it'll stay addictive, because I'm not a fan of civ games, but we'll see.
(Also, in personal life - I'm trying to get an appointment with my old university's career services dept. to have an advisor work with me on my resume, but I can't find anything ON the career services sub-site to even hint as to who I contact to go about making this appointment. ARG. RARRRR. GRAR. Why do university websites never make organizational sense?)

My questions are:
1. Film. Is there even a chance of getting the film for this camera? I read up on some things and it uses 75 (color) and 3000 (b&w) packfilms, but then it also said it could take 100-series and 80-series packfilm. I have no idea what all that means, honestly. I would just like to know if there's any film out there that this camera could take.
2. Batteries. I read that this thing needs batteries. What kind? Are they even still made? I also can't for the life of me figure out where they might go.
Thanks for any help you guys could give me!

Britney Spears New Hot Body Diet Revealed

The magazine notes that the plan is available in Los Angeles and right here in Phoenix starting at $52 per day, and information is available at sunfare.com). "She receives between 1,100 and 1,200 calories per day," says the insider of the three meals and two snacks (each comprised of 30 percent protein, 40 percent carbs, and 30 percent fat).
***
"She loves the turkey burger, chipotle chicken wrap and lasagna. She also gets a sugar-free dessert two to three times per week." And staying active is key. Another source says she works out with a trainer for up to two hours, three times a week (30 minutes of cardio, then strength training), in addition to dance rehearsals, which are "her way of having fun and working off steam."
Is it working, will Britney Spears finally be back on track for good? She seems like she is working towards making a big comeback, we will wait and see what happens as she moves forward.

I used to be the master when it comes to wordsplay.
Every word must be carefully coated with sarcasm or lined with intended humiliation
They must be sharp enough to pierce through the very core of your soul.
I seem to win every possible match in Hell.
But right where I'm standing, people would just discard me looks of condemn.
I've been labelled all sorts of things, really.
I grew tired of it and decided to take matters in my own hands.
Here we go, I said.
So I took white linens and started twirling them around.
I started from my neck and work my way up
I made sure they were wrapped neatly and tightly,
(but most importantly, tight)
After all we wouldn't want any mishap to happen, would we?
Then, I stopped one inch short before the tip of my nose.
There, all done.
Soon, I find it hard to breathe
My throat seems to be on fire.
But I like it this way,
Reminds me of home in a way.
Just my words and I,
lost in my very own intricate maze.
Just my words and I.
